A natural analog of resveratrol with antioxidant and anti-cancer activity. Rhapontigenin was found to scavenge intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS), the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical, and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Rhapontigenin protected against H2O2-induced membrane lipid peroxidation and cellular DNA damage, which are the main targets of oxidative stress-induced cellular damage.Solubility:DMSO (~30mg/ml) or EtOH (~30mg/ml)PubChem CID: 5320954MDL Number: MFCD00017718Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
