Cell-permeable. A potent and highly specific inhibitor for the BET (bromodomain and extra-terminal) family of bromodomains. (+)-JQ1 binds to BRD4 bromodomains 1 and 2 with Kd values of ~50 and 90nM, respectively. The binding is competitive with acetyl lysine. (+)-JQ1 can be a useful chemical probe to investigate the role of BET bromodomains in the transcriptional regulation of oncogenesis.Solubility:DSMO (10mM)Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
