- Fructose is a monosaccharide found in many foods and is one of the three most important blood sugars along with glucose and galactose. Fructose is the sweetest naturally occurring sugar, estimated to be twice as sweet as sucrose. In BioAssay Fructose Assay Kit, free fructose is enzymatically processed with the formation of a metabolite which reacts with the to generate fluorescence (Ex/Em = 535/587nm). The kit provides a simple, highly sensitive, reliable method suitable for high throughput assay of D-fructose. Glucose interference can be removed by using the Sample Cleanup Mix. The BioAssay Fructose Assay Kit can detect fructose in the range of 5-500 picomoles/well.Sample Type:Cell and Tissue culture supernatants, urine, plasma and serum, as well as many other biological fluids.Intended Use:The kit detects fructose in the range of 5-500pmol/well.Range:~5-500pmol/wellSpecificity:MammalianKit Components:Fructose assay buffer, 1x25mlPicoprobe, 1x200ulSample cleanup mix, lyophilizedConversion assay, lyophilizedFructose enzyme mix, lyophilizedFructose substrate mix, lyophilizedFructose Standard (100mM), 1x100ulStorage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
