- Spilanthol is a fatty acid amide isolated from Acmella oleracea. Spilanthol extract has been discovered to aid in saliva stimulation (sialogogue) for people suffering from dry mouth (xerostomia).Solubility:Chloroform (slightly), Methanol (slightly)Inert gasMethod for Determining Identity: Proton NMR (CDCl3) and Mass Spectrometric Analysis.Elemental Analysis: Calculated: %C: 75.97, %H: 10.47, %N: 6.33Atmosphere:Inert gasStorage and Stability:Store in the dark at -20°C under inert atmosphere. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Caution: Light sensitive. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological.Toxicity and Hazards: All products should be handled by qualified personnel only, trained in laboratory procedures.
