UBE2L6 (UBCH8) or ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2L 6 is a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family which is highly similar in primary structure to the enzyme encoded by the UBE2L3 gene. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1s), ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s) and ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3s) and the selective physical interaction between E2 and E3 enzymes forms the basis of specificity for functionally distinct E2-E3 combinations (1). UBE2L6 and the ubiquitin-ligase SIAH1 physically interact with and target FLT3-ITD for proteasomal degradation (2). UBE2L6 Protein is ideal for investigators involved in Signaling Proteins, Ubiquitin Proteins, Cancer, Cell Cycle, and Neurobiology research.
Store product at –70°C. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
