异戊二烯类化合物 是一类多样化的天然产物,是所有细胞中必不可少的成分。异戊二烯类化合物是由简单的前体异戊二烯焦磷酸(IPP)和二甲基烯丙基焦磷酸(DMAPP)生物合成而来的。真核生物、真菌和某些革兰氏阳性菌通过甲羟戊酸(MVA)途径产生IPP,而革兰氏阴性菌和某些革兰氏阳性菌则利用非甲羟戊酸途径或2-C-甲基-D-赤藓糖醇-4-磷酸(MEP)途径。**1-羟基-2-甲基-2-丁烯-4-基-4-二磷酸(HDMAPP或HMBPP)是非甲羟戊酸途径中的一个中间体,由2-C-甲基-D-赤藓糖醇-2,4-环磷酸(cMEPP)**通过IspG(GcpE)生物合成而来。它是IspH(LytB)的底物,生成IPP和DMAPP。此外,HDMAPP是迄今为止发现的最有效的VγVδ T细胞激活剂。
